What we collect

When you request service or book an appointment, we collect:

• Contact details — your name and phone number.
• Service location — the address or job site where the vehicle will be, plus ZIP code.
• Vehicle information — year, make, model, and mileage.
• Service history — what work we performed, when, what materials were used, and any conditions we noted or recommended.
• Job photos — timestamped photos of vehicle condition and completed work (see below).
• Your consent choices — whether you agreed to our Terms, and whether you opted in to text messages, with the date and time of each.

If you pay for a service, payment is processed directly by Square. Oil Dash does not receive or store your full card number.

Job photos

We photograph vehicle condition and completed work on every job, with timestamps. These are working records, kept with your service history — they protect you as much as us, because they document what condition the vehicle was in when we arrived and what was actually done.

We don't publish job photos, use them in advertising, or post them publicly without asking you first. If a photo happens to capture part of your property, that's incidental to documenting the vehicle, and it's treated the same way as the rest of your service record.

How we use it

We use this information to schedule and perform the service you requested, to communicate with you about your appointment, to send your invoice and receipt, and to keep an accurate record of the work. We also use your service history to send a reminder when your next oil change is due, and to resurface a service we noted and recommended during a past visit.

We don't use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we don't build advertising profiles.

Text messages (SMS)

If you check the SMS consent box when requesting service, you'll receive text messages from Oil Dash related to your service — appointment confirmations, technician arrival updates, invoices and receipts, and service reminders. This is optional: you can request service without checking that box, you just won't receive texts. Message frequency varies based on your activity with us. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages from us. Reply HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your consent to receive text messages is never shared or sold to anyone, and is not used for anything other than the messages described above.

Who we share it with

We share only what's necessary to actually run the service:

• Square — to process your payment.
• Twilio — your phone number, to deliver the text messages described above.
• Our hosting and database providers — who store the application and its data on our behalf.
• Parts suppliers — vehicle details only, where needed to source the correct part. Not your contact information.

If you're on a fleet or business account, service records for company vehicles are shared with the business that owns them — that's the point of a fleet account.

We may also disclose information where we're legally required to: in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or lawful request, or where necessary to establish or defend a legal claim, including a dispute about work we performed.

If Oil Dash is ever sold or merged, customer records may transfer as part of that business. We'd let you know.

We don't sell your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We don't run ads on this site.

How we protect it

Access to customer records is limited to Oil Dash staff, and every staff member signs in to their own individual account rather than a shared login. Administrative functions — pricing changes, customer records, deletion — are restricted to owner and administrator accounts. Payment card data never touches our systems; Square handles it directly.

No system is perfectly secure, and we won't claim otherwise. If a breach ever affected your information, we'd notify you.

How long we keep it

We keep customer and service records — including job photos — for as long as you're an active customer and for a reasonable period afterward, primarily so we can pull up your vehicle's service history if you return, and so we have records supporting any warranty claim or dispute. Invoices and payment records are kept as long as needed for tax and accounting purposes.

Your choices

You can:

• Stop texts — reply STOP to any message, or ask us directly. This doesn't cancel your service.
• Ask what we have — email us and we'll tell you what's on file for you.
• Correct it — if something's wrong (phone number, vehicle details), tell us and we'll fix it.
• Ask us to delete it — we'll delete your customer record and service history on request, except records we need to keep for tax, accounting, warranty, or an active or reasonably anticipated legal claim.

Email admin@oildashllc.com for any of these. We may need to verify you're the customer in question before acting — usually by confirming the phone number on the account.

Cookies and site analytics

Our site uses only what's needed to keep you signed in and to make the booking form work. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we don't run third-party ad networks on this site.

Links to other sites

Some pages link out — for example, to a parts supplier or to Square's payment page. Once you're on someone else's site, their privacy policy governs, not ours.

Children's privacy

Oil Dash's services are directed at adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children, and we don't market to them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a material way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
